South-South Cooperation/

Iberoamerica Cooperation Report

The Ibero-American General Secretariat responds to the mandate of strengthening South-South Cooperation within the Ibero-American space in order to achieve a truly positive interchange formula for the development of the region.

In order to meet this goal, the Secretariat develops several action lines, including the noteworthy preparation of the Report on South-South Cooperation in Ibero-America, an annual reference document on South-South Cooperation which involves our region and which has been published since 2007.

Furthermore, the Secretariat is in charge of supporting the dissemination, visibility and positioning of Ibero-American South-South Cooperation on the international scene and is coordinated with the Ibero-American Program for the Strengthening of South-South Cooperation. Promoted in 2008 at the XVIII Summit of San Salvador, this programme is recognised internationally for its exceptional nature and for the quality of its products and results. Thus, the Ibero-American General Secretariat and the Ibero-American Programme for the Strengthening of South-South Cooperation contribute to strengthening the capabilities both of the countries and of Ibero-American Cooperation as a whole.
